Goodbye John Bellany, a Real Character

I was sad to learn that Scottish artist John Bellany had died at the age of 71. I first learned of his work through a card deck published by the Marine Stewardship Council in the U.K. He did a gorgeous painting for one of the Jokers in that transformation pack. It is so rare for people to create and publish transformation packs, and this is a great one.

Goodbye, goodbye, another character of inspiration gone.

I shall miss such quirkiness in the homogenized world.

  1. That’s sad news. He was the same age as my dad.

I love the Joker though. Nice and bright and fresh.

Yes, I agree, lovely and fresh and great colours!
