Small Nigglies, Niggly Smalls

Daily Draw June 28th, 2012

I am up and dressed, with earrings in and lipstick on and alas I am alone again. The spouse is working an odd shift and I only see him for 1 hour in the morning and 1 at night. I never go out, haven’t been out in weeks so going a bit stir crazy. Thank goodness for jazz radio and the Internet.

The artwork on this is by Mark Jetton, who is still around selling rubber stamps and teaching thirteen years after this deck was published. I love to see people with passion for their particular art forging on and being successful.

What I liked about this card was the description of conflicts, but minor ones like the day-to-day frustrations we all encounter. I call them “niggly things” that send you crashing into a totally defeated and irritable attitude. Rational perspective says they are small, minor glitches and vexations. The guy on the card has just closed his eyes to sigh and say “Not again.”

Well, we can’t be having any of that nonsense today!
